Trademark protection for “Best Weekend”?

A brief review of a previous decision of the European Union Trademark Office on the protectability of the word mark “best weekend” in the field of hotel services and hotel advertising:

As is known, trademarks that describe characteristics of the claimed goods or services (here: hotel services, hotel advertising) are not registered by the trademark offices.

This also applies to the phrase "best weekend." It merely represents an advertising statement that directly conveys to the consumer that this is a service that enables them to experience the best possible weekend, according to the Trademark Office.
