Changed use of brands

Unused trademarks can be challenged and cancelled five years after registration. The decisive factor is whether the trademark was used in its registered form or significantly modified.

Example: A software company owns the trademark "Softoloko." After several updates, the trademark now appears as "Softolokomat." A third party wishes to protect the "Softoloko" trademark and files a cancellation request against the software company's trademark of the same name for lack of continued use.
